PIAP has came into existence in order to elaborate and implement new technologies, automation systems, production facilities and specialist measurement and control apparatus. In the frame of Institute’s activities new electronic constructions and mechanical gears to special use are built. Some of the projects in which PIAP is participating are distinguished below:

• The Organization of Work and Monitoring of the Vehicles Disassembly System
• The Manipulator’s Control in Cartesian Coordinates System
• The Robot for the motor rehabilitation of people with handicapped limbs
• Expert and Inspector Robots

PIAP is a proposer and the main coordinator of the Proteus Project. Especially PIAP is responsible for the whole architecture of the system, design of the mobile robots, and finally at the last stages for integration of the system and examination of the validation and functionality.
