Scientific and Research Centre of Fire Protection CNBOP tries to improve the competitiveness and the value of the researches for the National Fire Service needs, fire protection, people security and rescue. One of the CNBOP form of activities is realization of research projects in cooperation with leading national research and educational units, what leads to the initiation of the most effective results of works.

The CNBOP participation in research projects:

• “Software CZK algorithm in the range of: creator of the crisis respond plan, crisis communicator, reaction procedures and crisis management”- research and development project, ordered by the Board OSP, realization in 2007;
• “Improvement of effectiveness of the interventionist reaction system for undesirable events by the definition of the directions of the improvement and technical development of the emergency units. The organizational development of the systems of the counteraction against technical dangers, embodied by the Long- Term Programme of Minister Of Economy PW-004, realization in 2006;
• “Elaboration of the methods of study the durability of the hydraulic rescue tools and the construction of the position used during the study of durability with the possibility of monitoring the tools work parameters” , Project PW-004/ITE/09.2006 pn.

In the PROTEUS Project CNBOP will define the final users needs, write scenarios how this system should be used, and finally prepare tactical- technical assumptions for the whole system and particular sub-systems.
